Prosper Pièrre-Louis 1947-1997
is a Haitian born in Bainet, near Jacmel.
One of the main contributors of the Saint Soleil art movement.
He was one of the Cinq Soleil (five Suns: Levoy Exil, Louisiane Saint Fleurant, Dieuseul Paul, Denis Smith) art movement. These artists had branched out of the Saint Soleil movement. He died in 1997 of an asthma attack.

Phillippe Dodard
1954 – present
Dodard was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. A graphic artist and painter, Dodard is an alumnus of the Poto-Mitan school created by Tiga. Dodard has distinguished himself throughout his education at the Academy of Fine Arts and a scholarship to the International School in Bordeaux where he specialized in Pedagogic Graphic Design.
Dodard’s work has evolved to represent Haitian cultural influences, inspired Donna Karan’s fashion collection and included large sculptures, fine jewelry design and intricate iron work. His work is exhibited internationally.
